Description
Spin Linen is searching for a Chief Engineer for a commercial laundry operation in Omaha, Nebraska.
As a chief engineer you’re the leader of the maintenance department where you will develop and facilitate mechanical needs between all departments.
The Chief Engineer (or Maintenance Manager) has overall responsibility for the daily repair and preventative maintenance of industrial textile processing equipment and facility maintenance. The Chief Engineer will guide the maintenance team by providing training, direction and leadership. They will ensure all vendor services and contractors are compliant with the mission, objectives, policies and procedures of the Company as well as all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper maintenance, preventive maintenance (PMs), repairs, and installations are conducted on all plant equipment.
• Supervise, direct, coordinate and assign daily work schedules to ensure accountability for the team.
• Develop and implement computerized methods, control systems and procedures to ensure a fully operational and productive preventive maintenance program, parts stockroom and inventory system.
• Monitoring and ensuring the efficient use of all utilities, practicing energy conservation through usage reduction and cost control.
• Recommend and communicate to senior management on capital expenditures, equipment, parts, supplies, and material

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years maintenance management experience with specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder and boiler applications.
- Commercial laundry experience is preferred. Similar manufacturing industries also accepted.
- Must have a preventive maintenance mindset, and experience managing a PM program in this industry or a similar industry.
- Previous supervisory/management experience is required. Proven ability to lead and train a team of maintenance technicians.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting ability of 3 phase 230 volt systems.
- PLC programming experience.
- Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
- Must be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; selfstarter dedicated to continual quality improvement.
